About HoopCasters

Useful Interaction First. Meaningful Conversation Next.

HoopCasters creates interactive tools that help consumers understand important decisions before they are asked to have a sales conversation.

Why HoopCasters

Why I Built HoopCasters

Consumers often need useful information before they are ready to have a sales conversation.

That idea is at the center of HoopCasters.

Instead of starting by asking someone for an appointment, HoopCasters starts by giving them something useful—an interactive experience that helps them understand where they stand, compare their situation, or think through an important decision.

If they want help afterward, there is a natural path to continue the conversation with a professional.

Anthony Reed, founder of HoopCasters
About the founder

From Professional Basketball to Building HoopCasters

HoopCasters was founded by Anthony Reed, a former professional basketball player, coach, author, educator, and entrepreneur.

Before building businesses and technology, Reed competed at the highest levels of basketball. He was Louisiana Mr. Basketball, won a gold medal as a member of the U.S. Junior National Team, became Tulane University's all-time leading scorer, was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the 1993 NBA Draft, and went on to play professionally in Europe. His career has since been recognized with induction into two Tulane halls of fame and the Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame.

But HoopCasters wasn't created to tell a basketball story.

After his playing career, Reed moved into coaching, education, publishing, entrepreneurship, and technology. He earned his B.S. in Sports Management from Tulane and spent years developing programs, books, courses, and tools designed to help people understand information and make better decisions.

That experience eventually shaped a simple idea behind HoopCasters: give people something useful before asking them to buy, book, or talk to someone.

Today, HoopCasters applies that idea through interactive technology—helping consumers understand where they stand while giving professionals better context when a conversation begins.

The approach

Interactive Tools Built Around Real Decisions

HoopCasters builds interactive experiences around decisions consumers are already trying to make.

In housing, those decisions can include understanding homebuying readiness, evaluating a mortgage position, thinking through whether renting or buying makes more sense, and deciding when professional help would be useful.

The goal is not to replace the professional. The goal is to create a better first interaction—one where the consumer receives useful context before being asked to take the next step.
